SuSan Pantano
DNP, CNM, LM
Susan is the founder of Vibrant Wellness Midwifery. She is originally from Troy, NY and has been practicing midwifery in the Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls areas since 2015. During this time, she has attended over 1,000 births. In addition to providing pregnancy care, Susan provides gynecologic care for individuals from adolescence through menopause. She especially enjoys providing perimenopause and menopause care, and places an emphasis on informed consent and shared decision-making.
Susan is a graduate of Frontier Nursing University, SUNY Delhi, and Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing.
Carly Koelsch
MSN, CNM, LM
Carly is a certified nurse-midwife who has been practicing since 2015. She completed her undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio and received her master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She practices full scope midwifery care with a special interest in adolescent gynecology and normal, physiologic pregnancy and birth. Outside of work you can find her enjoying her sons’ seasonal activities including being a Cub Scout den leader. In her free time she enjoys playing adult slow pitch softball.
LENA Casamento
MSN, WHNP-BC, CLC
Lena is thrilled to announce that she will begin seeing clients for annual exams and gynecology in Plattsburgh this spring! She will also continue to work as a birth assistant for home births.
Lena has been supporting families through birth since 2008, and is certified as a lactation counselor. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. After working as a staff nurse in obstetrics and pediatrics for just over 10 years, she earned her Master of Science as a women’s health nurse practitioner from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2018.
Lena strongly believes in empowering others to make educated, individualized healthcare decisions. Her approach is guided by the principle of shared decision making, which integrates both a person’s own wisdom of themself and evidence based practice.
When not serving the community, Lena enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband, two sons and dogs, cultivating her vegetable garden, traveling, and learning to ski!
Lindsey BROWN, Birth Assistant
Lindsey has been an LPN since 2015 and will be working with the team as a birth assistant. She is the mom of three kids and is excited to be working in the birth community again.
